Teranga Cultural & Diversity Festival Torbay 1, 2 & 3

In Senegal, 'Teranga' is perhaps the most highly regarded value. Roughly translated, it means 'good hospitality.' In practice, Teranga shows how you treat a guest - with open arms and a seat around the bowl of food provided. Imagine, worked with a wide range of organisations including Torbay Council, to organise three Teranga festivals in Torbay which attracted thousands of people from across Devon.

Taste of Africa, Asia and The Caribbean

Following on from the three annual Teranga Festivals organised to celebrate Torbay's cultural diversity, Imagine staged its "Taste of Africa, Asian and The Caribbean" event at Oldway Mansion in Paignton. Over 600 people attended the day, supported by the council, Safer Communities Torbay and Torbay Care Trust. It combined an exciting and heart warming music and dance programme, mixing performances from professionals and amateurs, children and adults, and set pieces and interactive workshops for visitors as well as fabulous food.
